Hotel Mar Garni

We stayed here because of a very early flight the next morning. We had 3 rooms. The staff at check in was very friendly. The rooms were spacious and appeared clean. Note: showers are very small, in case you are a larger person, this may be a challenge for you. The first issue we had was, though there was air conditioning in the hotel, the occupant cannot control it from the room. It was barely cool enough in the room to sleep, and overnight, the air was shut off completely, all out of the occupant's control. We had a very short night anyway with a 6:00 am flight, but waking up hot was not great. It must be stated that in one of the rooms, a family member woke up with terrible swelling on his face and hands from some sort of bug bites overnight, and in our 3rd room, a family member also woke up with bites on her legs, that are still there over a week later. We did let the staff know at check out, so hopefully this has been taken care of now. The location near the airport is convenient.

The family room was amazing. Staff, environment is okay. I mean everything was going well until we were about to check out and they requested us to pay tourist tax at check out. Thia should have been included in the booking and left for me to decide if I was going to go ahead with the booking or not. Its such a dodgy thing to do.
