Overall a good hotel, lovely people and loved the villa by the beach. The hotel is geared up for families. Good activities, and breakfast included. There isn’t anywhere to walk to and transfers by car expensive. Maybe better go rent. Car, which you can do on site if travelling across the island. People lovely, lots of staff, but some areas a little confusing.

This is our third visit to Saletoga, and we were in the same Villa we had been in the past, which is now looking and feeling tired. Beds were uncomfortable, and small repair jobs needed to be completed, broken fan face (still operational) broken soap shelf detail (still usable). Small detail, toilet roll not replaced on arrival. However clean towels, bedding and room, with air con and small fridge which is always welcome. Unfortunately there was a staff member Sanjay who did not give us the same service he was giving other white guests, which was disappointing. However at the Spa Sailau always gives a fantastic deep tissue massage - highly recommend. We stayed an additional night and were moved to an available Villa by the kids playground. A lovely space, which we enjoyed better. Saletoga has a special place in our hearts, the grounds and gardens are beautiful, with water refill stations, and the breakfast buffet delicious!

Positives and negatives. The rooms are great, resort setup is great, lovely beach front location. However, the service is not great, felt a burden. Towels were dirty, were difficult to get. Room cleans were brief. Food was hit or miss. We went at a very humid hot time and they are tight on the use of aircon. There is no aircon in the facilities, including the spa and gym, when we arrived our room was like a sauna and the aircon units hardly cool down your room. I would have liked to arrive to a cool room so I could start to adjust. There was no escape from the heat. I personally struggled with this but it might not bother others. If I had taken my kids (in particular the youngest), it would have been a struggle. Finally, a few months earlier, our flight got cancelled so we had to reduce our stay by one night. The resort refused to alter this. We did have a good time, but I wouldn’t return unless big changes were made, service, cleanliness and aircon.

My family and friends have all stayed at Saletonga and all loved it. I finally got to stay here and I will say the staff made our experience here amazing. I will be coming back and bringing my kids as we saw so many fun activities they would enjoy. Thank you to the staff for taking good care of us!

I had an amazing time at Saletoga Sands Resort. The view was breathtaking, and my children loved the chance to see the beautiful fish right next to the shore. They were also delighted watching the crabs scuttle between the rocks. A highlight for me was the theme dinner nights, adding a unique and enjoyable dimension to my stay, and the pricing was very reasonable. Saletoga Sands is a family-oriented resort. While there's a delightful splash pool and playground for children up to about 8 or 9 years old, most guests congregated around the separate swimming pool. The addition of ride toys for young children and a water slide into the ocean by the owners was a really nice touch. Even though I wasn't daring enough to go down the slide, I appreciated the creativity it brought to the property. The limited internet availability posed a challenge for my husband, but he didn't mind sitting in the lobby to stay connected, whereas I saw it as an opportunity to read a good book. Overall, Saletoga Sands Resort exceeded my expectations with its thoughtful amenities, family-friendly environment, and unique touches that made our stay truly memorable. I highly recommend this resort.

Beautiful place to stay! The grounds and the property are immaculately maintained. It’s run like a well oiled machine with super friendly staff who made dining with young children, hiring a rental car and changing rooms an absolute breeze. Thank you for our stay, we will be back!

We stayed for 6 days at Saletoga Resort and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The rooms were clean and the staff wonderful. Even got to chat with the owners who were very friendly and live onsite. Our family of 19 had a blast and looking forward to returning again soon. Thank you Saletoga staff.

Wow, what a great property! Wish we had stayed longer! We stayed in the hotel rooms, which were very spacious and had what you needed. There are water refill stations all over the resort, so filling water bottles, inc the one in the room is easy and saves plastic! We ate at both of the restaurants and think the waterfront one that has a different theme each night was the better option. Bbq night was great. For a resort with a captured audience (there isn't other dinner options nearby) the pricing was fair. Between 30-55 tala per main. Loved the free kayaks, paddle boards and snorkel stuff from the beach hut. There was a surprising amount of fish in the coral barely steps from the shore. The pool area could do with more loungers,.as groups and families put their towels on them and then don't seem to use them........ We had a great stay, the tropical gardens and layout of the resort was lovely. Also the great selection of DVDs to borrow for a quiet night in. You definitely need a hire car to get out and see any sites. The airport transfers are on the pricey side at 80tala per person.

We stayed in the Matai Suite for 5 nights and wished we hadn’t. Despite this suite being represented as a VIP suite and private it was not. The two villas on either side of us were filled with families with young children and babies meaning there was near constant crying/screaming etc from one villa on the other - heard most when using the outside shower. We only used the outside bath once for this reason. Families with young children also set themselves up daily right in front of our villa, with children playing in the sand less than a metre from our deck. Despite raising this with management it continued. The only way to get privacy was to close our doors and curtains!! There was also none of the represented extras - chocolates, wine and fresh flowers, although after the third time raising this we were offered two complimentary cocktails with a promise of the chocolates being delivered - but they never came. The food was also disappointing. We did not have any meal that was correct - ranging from being delivered the wrong meals (leading to a one hour wait) to missing items. The fish on “fish night” was truly awful. I could not eat mine. Service was also poor. There were many other issues that truly ruined this holiday for us. I spoke to the owner Gavin after I became upset on the last day about issues with our transfer. He was a lovely man who clearly cares about his business and his customers. However, this discussion came too late to save our holiday.
