The hotel is fine. They can't help it if it's foggy for three days and you can't see the sea from your ocean front room. The food in the buffet restaurant is excellent. The theme changes nightly and everything is very fresh. But... there were a LOT of babies is residence - I've never been in a place with so many outside a post-natal clinic - and the "music" does irritate when it goes on and on, past 9pm while dining. The pool is VERY chlorinated. There is no access to the beach - just a half-hourly shuttle to A beach, which can best be described as a facility free zone. There's a lifeguard and that's it. Not even toilets. Staff were universally helpful, friendly and polite.

It was okay. Breakfast somewhat chaotic and adequate. Outside pool cold but indoor health spa was fantastic. Kids club disappointing esp as you have to pay if you want your child to lay there without a parent being present.

Fantastic hotel, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful garden and ocean view, delicious food, amazing indoor and outdoor pools, fun playground for the kids.

We stayed here for Christmas Eve and checked out the day after Christmas. We were over a week into our Portugal travels staying in Airbnbs along the way and this stay was just the treat we needed! Ocean view rooms, robes/slippers, great beds/bedding, ample shampoo/conditioner/body wash/lotion, welcome treats (fruitcake and local cherry liqueur), plus an incredible included breakfast buffet every morning. We also paid for the Christmas Eve dinner and had a Christmas night casual dinner there too….great food, service everywhere we went! The indoor pool was really fancy and fun with a sauna and steam room and different showers to try out (water bucket, rainfall, etc)…kids loved it. Outdoor pools looked amazing, but obviously not in use in December. Sunsets from the beach bluff overlooking the ocean were unreal. Free parking. Really recommend this place!
