Hotel Berne

My family had an amazing stay with Hotel Berne! We loved the breakfast!! They also serve lunch and dinner, which is very convenient and delicious. The family who owns the place is very friendly. If you are planing your trip to Serra da Estrela, this is the place to stay!

The hotel has modern facilities & rooms, very clean & peaceful, we had a balcony room with view of Manteigas, run by a lovely kind family with a beautiful restaurant for breakfast and dinner. We ate in the restaurant, it is smart with a fabulous view and the food was delicious (dishes btw €12-20 incl fish, meat, raclette & fondue). Parking was easy right outside & there’s a decent supermarket nearly next door. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel was very spacious and the owners were very nice. They gave us an upgrade on our room and it was very spacious and quiet for our family of four. It was also very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was by far the highlight! Delicious, fresh and a great variety with an absolutely gorgeous view! The only downfall for us was that their dinner menu was very expensive for a family. We looked up a couple of restaurants that were supposed to be open near by but they were closed. Maybe they are only open during high season. We drove into Manteigas and that restaurant was closed as well. So be prepared to pay more for dinner at the Hotel or check ahead of time what else will be open.

Family owned hotel, value for money restaurant, best in Manteigas,warm family cosy atmosphere. Highly recommendable.
