Hotel Faro & Beach Club

Horrible experience. We booked this hotel through Expedia (which I will never do again because Expedia has been a disaster to deal with). Once checking into our room (we booked two rooms for family), our air conditioning did not work. We called the front desk and they sent someone to look at it and agreed it was not working. The front desk did not believe us and came to look at it themselves. They then agreed it was not working but because the property was sold out that night they could not move us into another room. They said it would be the following day before we could be moved. The temperature in the room was approximately 81 degrees Fahrenheit. We asked for a fan and were told the hotel did not have anything they could provide to help with how hot and humid the room was. I informed them I wanted to be refunded for that night due to the poor conditions and the Front Desk Manager stated they never give refunds. After speaking to multiple managers I continued to get told that I stayed in the room and because of that the room must be paid for and it was not the hotels fault the air was not working. We literally laid in a pool of sweat and could not sleep yet the hotel took no responsibility claiming that because we stayed at the hotel, we were obligated to pay regardless of the conditions. The room cost more than $300 each night and we had no air. We received the worst possible hotel service EVER. Do NOT stay at this property if you want a good experience.

Room was small.. uncomfortable Liked the location The bathroom floor has a door stop knob which is dangerous Could not sleep one night because of rowdy kids on the street just below our window. Reception called the police.
