Pestana Bahia Praia Nature & Beach Resort

The hotel is in real a good 3 star beach hotel NOT 4 star. UNFORTUNATELY the price is like a luxury 5 star hotel. The staff is great ❗ but the policy of the management is to collect money without giving the value to the customers... For a junior suite we paid 534 per night and we had in the room just towels and shampoo. There is not any coffee mashine or a device to warm water, there are not slipers or bathrobe. Breakfast and dinner are OK but nothing to make you feel they appreciate you as a customer. I wouldn't be back with these money perhaps in maximum 180 euros.

This is an excellent hotel. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was roomy and well laid out. The bathroom was the best hotel bathroom I've seen in decades -- enough counter space, 2 sinks, things arranged in sensible ways (I'm convinced that most hotel bathroom designers have never stayed in a hotel!). The breakfast buffet is excellent with something for everyone (except no chocolate sprinkes for the Dutch). Make sure your rate includes breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. The towel system means availability of towels for the beach or the hot pools. The grounds are pleasant -- we saw the uniquely Azorean daylight bat flying out near the tennis court. The beach is very close. As others have commented, the location is isolated and you will need a car, but it is quite central on the island.

The juniorsuite with oceanview was stunning - the balcony and panorama View of ocean, Beach and Mountains and the Sounds of waves all night with Doors open - perfect The restaurant staf, cleaning staff, and roomservice staff were professional and helpful - with information and stories about the Island Unfortunately the reception staff was less professional and helpful. The breakfast was great - but dinner was not good, suppose due to most people buying halfboard it was a weak buffet - roomservice did have a Meat & cheese board if you decided to eat in. Luckily there was a bar and restaurant on the Beach that served good food and drinks. Due to pool, Beach and beautiful views I would stay here again.
