Hotel Bristol, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Warsaw

We enjoyed our stay in the Hotel Bristol and generally it was very comfortable, conveniently located for the Old Town and a smart, clean hotel. The breakfast buffet was good. On arriving at breakfast on our first morning reception had apparently failed to mention that we had booked breakfast to the staff in the restaurant and after this was sorted we were shown to an overflow room for breakfast. On the second morning we were seated in a different side room with a number of children, babies and toddlers making a fair bit of noise, crying and there was quite a lot of mess on the floor around the table next to us. Our room was warm, comfortable and immaculately clean. No view though, just a roof. The shower was above the bath a bit awkward but ok. The bathroom was large, clean and smart. Bottled water was provided in the room and a hairdryer which could be plugged in by the mirror!! The pool and gym both looked fine ( a little bijoux) and we would have used both if our stay had been longer. The staff at the hotel were pleasant and helpful. The Cafe Bristol which is attached to the hotel looked very nice but we waited ages for our coffees and when they arrived my partners was steaming hot while mine was just lukewarm. Expensive and very disappointing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a comfortable and conveniently situated hotel with good breakfasts.

Hotel Bristol is NOT a 5 star hotel and shouldn't be in a 'Luxury collection' because there is nothing luxury about it. When we arrived to the hotel, we were informed that the bar and the restaurant are not available due to the wedding at the hotel. It would have been nice to know this in advance because I wouldn't choose Bristol. I asked for the toothpaste and a bottle of wine to bring to the room but unfortunately the staff either forgot or didn't have time to bring the above mentioned items. Hence, I had to cancel my order after 40 minutes of waiting for them. There is no actual space to work with a laptop other than a small cafe in the garden. However, if there is one little kid sitting next to you screaming - your work space is doomed. The sauna is extremely small for max 3 people. I would strongly suggest the hotel to put signs of how to operate in the sauna because one American almost gave me steam burns because he poured huge amount of water on the stones in the sauna thinking probably it will give great steam. Yes, the steam was great but I almost got burnt and had to leave the sauna room. Steam room was out of service - smth that we were not informed as well. Swimming pool is small and nothing like on the photos. Hotel Bristol is a 3 star old hotel not more.
