Dazzler by Wyndham Lima San Isidro

Avoid at all costs! Context: We spent 10 days in Peru. We had been in Cusco and even had stayed at Dazzler in Miraflores a week before. Also, for a family emergency we had to shorten our stay at this hotel from 3 nights to one. When we arrived we asked the staff to help us with the car elevator (as we did at Dazzler Miraflores where they were extremely helpful). The staff just pressed the button and didn’t help despite the elevator to be extremely small so the compact SUV I rented barely fitted. When I tried to check in there were 3 people at the front desk. One of them asked me for my passport and handed it to the only person that was on the phone. I had to wait like 5 minutes until he finished the call and he had the worst attitude. I then proceeded to tell him if he could help me because I needed to shorten my stay. He didn’t even try. He just told that I had to fix it through Expedia (what Expedia did was contact the Hotel anyway) or directly through the hotel reservations call center and didn’t provide the reservations center. His attitude was the worst. We then went to our room and tried to rest for a while. It was about 6 PM and we were just resting in our room when some maintenance people knocked on our door saying that they needed to go into our room to change the TV system. Why would they give us a room that they knew was maintenance people would go in an hour later? It was really unpleasant. Avoid this place. Stay at Dazzler Miraflores instead.

Dazzler is fairly dazzling for its price point. I chose them mainly because I needed a room to accomodate 3 adults, giving them space. The room came with 3 seperate beds. In addition, there were plenty of outlets for those that need them for 3 people (modern technology). Interestingly, the room even had a couple of US outlet as well as the kind used in Peru (I always carry a surge protector that has all electric converion adapters anyway). There was an a USB port on one of the lights as well. The bathroom was very spacious and with amenities for 3. The only issue that same may encounter is they have a tub with a shower head and not just a shower. That may not be a problem for many but it is not really handicap accessible and in addition the tub requires a large step up to get in and out even for an able body person - easy way to accientally trip. There is an abundance of closet space and storage for bags. The TV in the room is kind of small given the size of the room and it has wires hanging from the wall that could have been better put away (hazard for kids and unprofessional too). The room is well lit and has all the amenities you should need - safe, mini fridge, laundry service, sitting desk with chair, and a chair by the window. There is also a buffet brekafast which is very good (nultiple types of bread, bacon, eggs, various fruits & juices,yogurt, cereals, mini desserts, some bread that was like crepes cut into quarters that were very addictive, etc. Great place!
