Very expensive hotel for no real reason. The hotel is seriously due for some major renovation. The staff is not friendly either, no warm welcome to the families with children. Their focus is to somehow keep creeping off people’s money. Not recommended.

Picturesque hotel, but it’s bit old and kids have to sleep on a very uncomfortable spring sofa bed that needed updating . Dinner buffet is nice but very pricey . Very near to Flam marina which is a plus

Excellent hotel that's very close to everything you need to see or do in Flåm. The parking is also free and is only a few steps away from the hotel. The breakfast buffet is big and has a lot of varieties. The only issues were that the beds were less comfy (soft) and the stay was overall very expensive! We booked the junior suite, which has a balcony overlooking the fjord. The hotel is old as it's registered as a historic hotel. So, expect to see old furniture and old carpets. I also liked the small exhibit of historic clothing and items in the lobby area.
