the staff were amazing!! just loved our stay and can't wait to go back. We booked our room through Hotels.com. Very disppointed that the American? (foreighn group?) charged us more than double what the rest of our family paid. They all booked direct, less than half for rooms in the same corridor, and half what we were charged for breakfast. Not impressed, three rooms together, cost what my sister paid for another seven!!

Good walkable location to most places. Not far to get to Courtney Place for bars and eateries. Under 5 min walk to New World and two kids playgrounds nearby.
You can bring a usb for movies otherwise they have Sky & local channels.

Great location, comfortable beds, good layout with 2 single beds in a separate nook, perfect for the family. Room was showing signs of wear but was clean and tidy.

The property was easily accessible, staff were helpful and approachable. All the shops, cafes, theatre's, museum, gym, pool and scenic attractions were in walking distance. I really appreciated the cleaning staff for their helpfulness. Thank you for a great stay my children and I appreciated your service.

A great experience here a few years ago for work made us rebook for a family holiday, but the experience this time around was extremely poor. I’m not sure how this is considered a 4-star hotel - examples: beds not fully made, only 2 bath towels for 3 guests and a baby, 1 pillow per adult only, cot not set up as discussed with hotel weeks in advance, and when we had an early arrival and asked if they could contact us when the room was ready, they forgot, and then I had to go find out bags at reception and porter them up myself. The room had no thermostat so it was either boiling and so dry we got nosebleeds (heater on) or freezing (heater off). Room also was not cleaned at all our second day there. There were no real options for dietary restrictions available at breakfast, and no hot water refilled, cups, glasses… I could go on. If you are going to spend the money on a 4-star hotel, definitely stay somewhere else until this hotel gets back on its feet.

Great location, we could easily walk into the city centre (and the walk itself was lovely). A couple of parks on the doorstep so great for kids

Mixed review. We had a family room which had a king in the main room and two single beds in the foyer area, which was perfect for our family of 4.
We stayed on Level 1 and we were above the lobby which played piano lobby music ALL night. It was calming and not at all offensive, but it was on ALL night, so we found it annoying, so did the kids.
Bar food for dinner, which was expensive for what we got, all seemed like frozen food heated.
Breakfast was basic and average - not enough staff to keep restocking.
Book on-site parking in advance if it’s required.
Good location, close walking distance to many facilities, and beautiful walk around Oriental Bay with great Wellington views.
