Fiesta Inn Chetumal Hotel

I like the safety and security it provides for my family, and I. And for my vehicle, very secure parking. The staff was friendly and helpful. But the the room was substandard. It seemed like to wasn't used for a while, or simply not cleaned well, in a while. The lounge chair with matching ottoman, looked and felt dirty. Smacking the cushions on these items clearly showed puffs of dust coming out. The entire room smelled dusty like it's been lock up for an extended period of time. We got 1 bottles water and 2 bath towels, for 3 guests checking in. And the coffee maker was dirty. I'm not complaining, I simply stayed away from these inconveniences. But for their standards, they should do better.

This hotel is upscale, yet still casual and friendly. My husband and I were in the area on business, but we noticed a number of families staying at the hotel, no doubt in part for the beautiful, roof-top pool. I speak a little Spanish, but most of the staff speak some English, so communication was easy. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-kept. We would stay again.

The check in time is/was 3pm when I stayed there with my family.
