Hotel Rockaway

Property was well maintained and clean. Staff was attentive and breakfast was great. Good place for families with young kids. Would come back for sure.

This property was nice if you are a family with children. Lots of children in the pool being noisy late into the evening. If you like a dark room this isn’t for you. Very light. Noisy at night but my noise maker took care of that. Great breakfast, friendly staff. Convenient to the beach and restaurants.

The Rockaway provided a lovely place for our family to call home for a few days as we explored Puerto Escondido. The staff were very friendly and accommodating on an early check-in and requested late check-out. The room and facilities were clean and the tone was relaxing. A great breakfast- go early though, it can get busy. Very pleasant visit.

It was wonderful, we loved the way my family and my little girl were treated. It was a beautiful stay because they were very attentive to my children and gave us all possible information. Delicious breakfast

Rockaway was just the stay I was hoping for. The staff are so helpful and work to make your stay comfortable. The staff are always cleaning and keeping the grounds looking beautiful. When we arrived I asked the front desk if our rooms we were going to have a lot of noise, I read online some rooms are next to the loud nightlife. Since I booked Oceanview it would have be very loud on the weekend. She offered alternative rooms on the interior of the hotel with less noise (one room was next to a house to chickens so there was a roster in the morning).- This room also had a very small bathroom. But overall these rooms were perfect for us after long days of travel and exploring to come back and relax. The best was our single king room had a balcony with a hammock, my kids loved it. The pools were perfect, shallow and deep areas, place to sit with drinks great temperature. A few power outages quickly came back on. Breakfast was perfect before heading out for the day. Location is great if you want to walk and enjoy ocean views. It is not a swimming beach for average everyday people. We watched the surfers from the shore and dipped our feet in. They lock the door of the hotel after a certain time at night which made me feel more secure. Some great restaurants and bars right outside your door. Would stay again if we go back to Puerto Escondido.
