HOTEL LUCA

To preface this review, we are a family of four (two daughters, 16 and 13) and have traveled extensively all over the world. We’re easy going and are good in a Four Seasons or a family owned motor lodge. As long as it’s as advertised. We booked four nights in late March to Hotel Luca based on location and the generally good customer reviews. Of those two, only the location held up. The hotel was a huge disappointment in so many ways, prompting us to change properties after one night. To summarize, the property is very tired, the rooms are run down, the staff is poorly trained and nobody can give you a straight answer. The hotel is “adults only” though we were never informed of this and it was never mentioned when we checked in with our two kids. It started with transportation which they recommended we use their referral. His fee was $185 round trip - much higher than uber. The driver slept through our return pick up and we never saw a refund, and almost missed our flight. We've requested that money be returned but unsurprisingly, they've stopped responding. We stayed 1 night and the broken air conditioner kept us up all night, so we cancelled the rest. Worst of all is they are refusing to abide by the Expedia cancellation policy and refund the additional nights I prepaid after the 1 night fee I agree to. I would absolutely tell you to avoid this hotel at ALL COSTS. We are working through American Express disputes to try and get back our money. Wish us luck.

Great little boutique hotel in a very nice safe neighborhood with more beautiful restaurants than you'll ever have time for... wonderful breakfast every morning on the rooftop with absolutely amazing staff that take such great care of you...beautiful start to the day...English is not very available except at front desk... so bring your Google translate but that's the biggest obstacle... will definitely recommend to friends and family and we would absolutely stay again... we spent 11 nights here this first time... thank you to all the staff for a very lovely stay...

We celebrated our 10 anniversary with a stay at the Luca hotel in colonia roma. I liked the hotel because it’s brand new and it has a great location. The room was beautiful. The design, comfort and personalized service was superb. The staff was very friendly and helpful, thank you all for seeing the all of are needs were met. They booked a tour for us of the colonia roma history and architecture. It was great. I recommend this hotel a lot. We are planning to go back soon with all our family.
