Casa de Sierra Nevada, A Belmond Hotel, San Miguel de Allende

A great place to stay. Belmond has undoubtedly a standard not easy to beat. Lovely for couples or families alike.

What can I can about one the best hotels in the world? it was fabulous. We stayed in the Colonial Suite. It was expensive but a great value for the price. We were able to look at several of the other rooms during our stay and they were equally fabulous. The location is just a few blocks for the jardin and all the action. You could walk everywhere from the hotel. The staff was exceptional. They always took the time to get to know our names and we felt like family after the first day. So their english was very good and helped make an enjoyable stay. We met the General Manager the first hour after we were sitting on our patio. He made a point of introducting himself and welcoming us to "our home". We had a spa day that was wonderful. One of the best. We never lacked for room service, pool service, restaurant or bar service. Always accomodating. We would stay there again on our next trip to San Miguel. I would not even want to try to experience a different stay at another hotel. We had never been to SMA so I am so pleased with this hotel that I found on Hotels.com. It lived up to the information on the website.

we stayed for 3 nights in this lovely Spanish style hotel. The service was very good. The bar and dining room are very enjoyable. We had a dinner with just our family in a private room off the main dining room with a fireplace and it was a very special evening. the hotel is in a very convenient location. We walked to the main square every evening to enjoy the local flavor. The town itself is what I always thought a Mexican town should look like but never found until now. I would definitely stay at casa sierra again if I were in San Miguel.
