LUX* Grand Gaube

This place is amazing! Very peaceful and serene. The staff were Very pleasant and accommodating. The only thing I would suggest is that they get more activities for adults. There were a lot of activities and fun things for children. I’m already planning my trip back in 2025!

The Lux Grand Gaube hotel is outstanding. Our junior suite was beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable. The choice for food unparalleled- Peruvian (Inti), Turkish (Bodrum Blue), Creole Smoke House, Beach Rouge, Palm Court, Cafe Lux, ICI ice creams. The food was amazing and the variety delicious. The service world class and the staff so professional and well trained. Adult pool so relaxing. A beautiful looking property. Large grounds so you do not feel closed in. Great surroundings and great swimming. I came to Mauritius to relax and be spoilt. Lux Grand Gaube exceeded my expectations.

We stayed 4 nights for our honeymoon and it well exceeded expectations. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was grand. Housekeeping was also great and came twice a day! The food was very good, especially INTI and the breakfast buffet. The only drawback was that there were more kids than I expected and the dinner buffet was OK, but would stay here again if I'm back in Mauritius

Our stay was a memorable one. My family loved the hotel and the food. A big thank you to the lovely Elena & the celebrations team who assisted in making our baby's 1 year birthday so special at the Turkish restaurant. Such a beautiful setting & the staff were so great, as was the food. Cleaning of rooms can improve but overall very comfortable & accommodating.

What can I say, this was the holiday my family desperately needed. The holiday was truly wonderful, from the friendly and welcoming staff, the amazing food, the delicious cocktails, the open shower and the outdoor bath on our private deck, literally everything was perfect and it was worth every penny! Thank you Lux Grande Gaube for providing the right ambience for my family to rest and recover!

We chose to stay at the Lux Grand Gaube believing it would be the perfect place to elope. However, poor communication from the dedicated wedding planner over a period of almost 6 months caused us to cancel our plans to be married there. In the end this was the better decision as our experience at the hotel was disappointing overall. No confirmation was received from the hotel of a prearranged airport transfer until prompted. The check in was slow, disorganized and unwelcoming. Our assigned suite was near a section of the hotel under construction and was otherwise populated with many families. We were told no other rooms were available, but we would be advised if another room or an upgrade became available. We received no further communication from anyone about a room change over the course of our 8 nights there. However, we did receive encouragement to upgrade to one of the meal plans. We ate at 4 of the hotel restaurants and found the food generally to be over priced and average at best. Our reasons for cancelling our wedding at the hotel were communicated to the resort management at the time & well in advance our our arrival. Apologies for the inconvenience were expressed, but no effort was made to improve our stay once we arrived. Apologies were also expressed when details of our disappointing experience while at the resort were communicated at the end of our stay. A $150 USD discount was offered and declined as it was of little consequence against our whole experience.

We really enjoyed our stay, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We travelled with our baby daughter and were provided with a cot, changing table, steriliser and baby bath. The staff in the restaurant were attentive; they always had her high chair and purées ready at breakfast and dinner. The decor and pools are lovely, it never felt overcrowded, I’d love to go back
