I wish I had stayed longer! I was very impressed with this resort. We are traveling as a couple with many stops in Japan. This is a very large and fancy hotel. The room was huge! I didn’t realize that this resort is actually connected to Fuji Q and The Lisa & Garspard Land. We did have one day where the weather prevented us from seeing Mt. Fuji—but the day we did see it was absolutely incredible! We ate at the American Restaurant for dinner and it wasn’t my favorite. We went to Sushi down the road and loved the food. We ate breakfast at the buffet both mornings and I was really impressed! We ate a lot of food! We had a car. They gave us tickets for free parking. We forgot it in the room one time and it was almost 10,000 yen. Ouch. They gave us more tickets whenever we requested. I wanted to go into the park but we did not. However I learned it’s possible to go in for free and pay per ride. (The line in the morning was very long!) but they had discounted tickets where you can go in and not have to pay per ride. The Lisa/Gaspard area was really cute, though obviously catered towards smaller children. There were bakeries and stores. I think this would be a really cool spot for any adult couple who is young at heart, and is probably good for families too. There was more to do in this resort but I only stayed 2 days. I would recommend staying 4 to truly enjoy everything they have to offer—I didn’t even go to the onsite Onsen!!

Great stay! Beautiful family suite with a view of Mt.Fuji. Great breakfast buffet that is not just bread, coffee or drink. They are variety of food options for both kids & adults. The Onsen/Hot spring is nice & clean. We only had one slight issue during check-in. But the manager fixed it and gave us the room we originally reserved.

On our two-week trip to Japan, my husband and I wanted to climb Mt. Fuji but our teenage son definitely did not want to. In looking for how to fulfill both agendas, I happened on the Highland Resort. Being right next door to the Fuji-Q amusement park, our son could simply walk over to Fuji-Q and enjoy a day of roller coasters while we were hiking Mt. Fuji. It worked out perfectly. We did a day hike of Mt. Fuji with sunrise from the fifth station. The hotel arranged a 3AM taxi for us. They also arranged a taxi to Mishima station for us the following day for our continued travels. We booked the family suite and I would highly recommend it. It is spacious and comfortable, with a picture window that looks out on Mt. Fuji. The hotel has multiple restaurants, Japanese and Western, and a comprehensive breakfast buffet. The area is also delightfully quiet - something you will appreciate if your trip has taken you to the hordes of people in Tokyo and Kyoto.

Located near to Fujiyama-yoshida town centre and connected by a short indoor tunnel stroll to Fujiyama-onsen. We had a large, comfortable family suite on the top floor and we had a great view of Mount Fuji from our window!

Excellent choice for families looking for a clean and well-located hotel in Fujiyoshida to explore the lakes and surroundings of Mount Fuji. On a clear day, the magnificent view of Fujisan is amazing! The easy access to hot spring was also a nice added benefit for our stay.

I highly recommend this resort. We stayed in April in the family suite, level 10 with an incredible view of Fuji san from the living room and bedroom. Cleanliness is excellent. The beds are very comfortable and beds and bedroom is spacious. The free fresh water everyday and coffee, tea is great. The shower is great too, the only issue was the toilet is not seperate from the bathroom. Daily housekeeping. Buffet breakfast with another incredible view of Fuji san from the restaurant. The bakery and Italian restaurant is tasty. 7/11 is around the corner. They offer a free bus shuttle service and the early entry into FujiQ theme park is fantastic! We entered at 8.30am. There is no waiting time for the 1st ride you choose to go on and minimal wait time for the next. If you stay more than 1 night here you can enter the park early for no wait time on any ride every day., just pay for ride ticket. They also have discounted day passes at reception. Don’t forget your free admission ticket for entrance and scan your face before entering the theme park. I would stay here again!
