Hotel Niwa Tokyo

Our family of three loved Hotel Niwa!

Our entire family enjoyed this hotel: my husband and I were on our honeymoon, so we enjoyed the beautiful and quiet room, as well as the whirlpool bath with wonderful bath salts; my adult daughters enjoyed the breakfast and the beautiful gardens (esp the one on the 15th floor). Thanks for making this an excellent trip to Tokyo!

My family loved Hotel Niwa. The service was excellent, the bathrooms in both rooms were a great welcome to Japan - signature room with its traditional wood tub and shower, "regular" room also with a great tub and shower. Service and staff response to requests and for information were excellent. Our favorite aspect was the hotel's well-designed Japanese gardens - in the courtyard; buffering the hotel from the street; around a small rooftop terrace; and on the lower floors including the "relaxation" area. We liked the Japanese restaurant, with the exception of a male host who was self-important and rather rude (in Japan!). Fortunately the waitresses and the food made up for that.

Our family very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of the Tokyo Dome. The room was comfortable. The indoor and outdoor areas were lovely and relaxing - we really enjoyed the massage chairs. The French breakfast was extensive and delicious. A very nice hotel.

1. Family trip with 2 kids ( 5yrs and 1.5 yrs), the room is not too big but enough for 4 of us. 2. The distance from JR 水道橋 is perfect. 8 mins walkable even with kids and suitcases. There’s also bunch of 7-11 nearby. 3. Atmosphere is good. Quiet place and polite staff. They offer some nice suggestion map at front desk. We went to one of the ramen restaurant they recommend ( the ebimaru ) which is fantastic; also the old book street map is useful. 4. The bathtub and sea salt is nice. The hand wash and body wash smell good too. The hotel itself is beautiful from the inside. I’d love to visit again.

Very kind staffs, clean room, quiet area, beautiful gardens and amazing relax lounge. Everything which my family experienced was great.

First of all, the staff spoke very good English, which is frankly, a much welcomed rarity. Second, the staff acted very swiftly during check-in, check-out and when I accidentally left my key in my room. Third, absolutely the recycling basket and option to recycle towel. The hotel was quite environmentally conscious. Now onto the not so good aspects: First, the king size bed was not really a king size bed but rather two beds push together. Since I was travelling along and slept in the middle, it was noticeable. Second, the room was rather small because the bathroom was huge. It would be great if the family room offer king size bed option. I would rather pay extra for a larger room. Overall, it is a decent stay, and it is a quiet neighborhood, so I slept really good.
