Overall it was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Osaka castle wiew room condition was especially good. But whèn we tried to use night pool, we were so embarraessed. There were so many young guys enjoying taking picures instead of swimming. It was not family-friendly swimming pool.Aweful.. We couldn't ènjoy swimming.. I think it would be good to notify about that in advance when we check-in. But daytime pool was good except being too small.

The team at the New Otani, Osaka were most welcoming and professional. Their attention to detail and service level was outstanding. Both my family and I were grateful for their warm welcome and friendliness received throughout our stay. We shall return in the future because the New Otani is quite simply the best offering in Osaka.

If you reserve a castle view, Osaka castle a performance center are lit at night. Spacious triple room with castle view had club chairs seating and table that made our room feel like a suite. Staff always greeted us and the buffet is superbly stocked with American and Asian breakfast items and reasonably priced. Our family group of 7 arrived from U.S. into both ITM and KIX Osaka airports, plus on shinkansen from Hiroshima, and the hotel is easily walkable from Osaka-JoKoen station. Nearby is an office building with cute shops and numerous counter service eateries. The 7-11 is across the street, and was perfect for 10 pm jetlagged arrival quick bites. The New Otani also has a floor of shopping boutiques, including a wedding gown salon. In addition to great breakfasts, our family loved taking morning jogs to nearby Osaka castle and the extensive park and trails surrounding it.

This property is the one we booked with the thought “let’s splurge a little” It seemed to have everything going for it, high end, great location, beautiful views, plenty of restaurants on the premises, a spa, pool and baths… The staff were very friendly and polite, they would insist in making up the room every day, which we found unnecessary. The area is dedicated to businesses so it was completely dead in the evening, all businesses closed, no convenience stores around open late. The hotel charges extra for using the pool, gym, spa facilities (per use) and oddly enough you are provided with only ONE key. The only bending machine was located by the parkade, a 5min walk away from elevators. Our first night there was during the weekend and at nighttime we could hear every room around us with children running and jumping around, slamming doors and stomping back and forth. The bathroom was what you would expect from a western style facilities with a dated look to it. Everything was clean, plenty of toiletries provided, a newspaper everyday(which we never touched). The restaurants were reservation only and only opened odd hours. The 2 bars on the premises closed at 11pm. I believe we paid for location and size of the room but it was not worth it to us given that this was the splurge BECAUSE of the advertised facilities that ended up requiring extra charges. We ended up going to off-premises restaurants and onsens at a significantly reduced cost to enjoy our Osaka visit.

This is such a great hotel that I would definitely revisit and recommend. The hotel is certainly kids friendly. The view and nearby sceneries are magnificent during the cherry blossom season. My baby was ill and vomitted at night. The staff quickly went to my room to clean and change the bed sheets. Their breakfast buffet is suitable for kids and adults. They offer all baby high chair, kids utensils and tasty food. Thank you.

The property is located in a very quiet location close to Osaka castle. The deluxe room was quite big in size and had lovely view over castle. Rooms are bright and well equipped with all necessary facilities and amenities. Bed was comfortable. Hotel provides breakfast facilities as well. Reception area is quite big and beautifully decorated. Reception is quite helpful. The location is close to underground line and 7eleven, family mart etc . A bit of walking distance to all restaurants over the bridge. We enjoyed our 5 nights stay at this hotel. I would recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel with lovely and very helpful staff. Would recommend for families and couples looking to stay somewhere that is somewhat out of the hustle and bustle. Very close to a main transit station. Lovely stay.

We had an excellent stay. I was disappointed that my 11 year children were not old enough to use the indoor poor at any time. I was also disappointed that as a guest I couldn't get reservations at any time at the Japanese steak restaurant. Guests should get priority booking.

Our family had a 5 night booking at the New Otani in Osaka. The website advertised a pool and many other amenities. They do not advertise that every amenity has an extra charge. Pool entry, a chair at the pool, the umbrella. Must buy their drinks. No re entry- if one leaves they must pay again. The gym is extra as well. Restaurants and shopping in hotel and nearby. In general the hotel is very very nice. However, Everything is monetized.
