THE POCKET HOTEL Kyoto-Karasumagojo

This is an excellent place to stay when on a budget. Central location made it easy to get to many tourist spots. The Breakfast which was included was at a restaurant next door which gave 3 breakfast platter options (with no substitutions). We stayed in a “family” room for 4 people with bunk beds and futon beds which were quite comfortable.

There are 2 restaurants close to the hotel, the tasty is quite authentic, but the living room is not very suitable for family .

Great stay with the family. Good organisation within the establishment. The way it’s set up allow you to manage your stay with minimal interaction with the staff. I would go back.

This was my first time staying at a hotel with my children where we did not have our own toilet and shower, and it went much better than I had anticipated. I liked the security features, each room key card could only access floors to which it was assigned. Toilets and shower rooms were secure with key cards assigned to women's and men's facilities. The toilets and showers were kept spotlessly clean and we never had to wait for either. While our quadruple bunk room was quite small, I appreciated that each bunk had its own outlets and light. The mattresses were a little thinner and harder than I am accustomed to, but we slept well. The location was excellent, just steps away from a subway station and with lots of restaurant options in each direction from the hotel.

Great hotel for travelling with teens not small kids. Facilities are clean, staff are nice. Few minutes walk to bus station and subway.
