Yokohama Royal Park Hotel

The Location was ideal close to many attractions, room size was ideal for a family of four that’s two adults and two children under 11 y.o. The view was amazing and it was a clear day so you could see Fuji-san. Downside - requested a non-smoking room, I should have said a smoke-free room. However, it was not smoke-free but non-smoking and that’s a huge difference, especially for an asthmatic person. Although it was only a one night stay, I suffered throughout my stay as the smoke smell lingered on everything. It was so bad, that I thought of visiting the local hospital to see if they could help with my breathing. also, there was no amenities for the Six year old. The reservation did list all occupants, yet the child was not acknowledged. Overall, nice place and if you don’t mind a smoke-smelling room, then even better.

The property itself was great but it did not mention that kids are not allowed in the pool when I booked this hotel which is the main reason we booked this hotel. My 7 yr old was extremely disappointed when we were told she was not allowed to use the pool.

The family room was just perfect for my family of four. It was a large studio(bigger than a typical Japanese hotel room) but had two small refrigerators and two toilets inside the room which is unusual in Japan. Also, a wood floor with a table by the window where you can enjoy coffee with a great city view. I highly recommend this family room for any family visitors.
