OMO7 Asahikawa by Hoshino Resorts

Did not have a smooth check in process, it is done via a machine and requires guests to self check-in. We have two bookings but somehow the machine only managed to find one. The staff were helpful and doing their best, but did not speak much English and took some time to find our other booking. Good quality breakfast, with a wide selection and good seating area and cutleries prepared for children, very family-friendly. But the seating area might be very crowded and packed during peak hours so some waiting time might be required. Toiletries and pyjamas are available via self-service at the hotel lobby. Room and corridor designs are a bit dated. There are three washing machines and dryers in the basement, which are not enough for a hotel of this size. Need to be quick or queue in order to get a chance to do your laundry. Overall a decent hotel with interesting decor and differentiating factors at the price point, so I will still consider it a good choice and value-for-money.

Nice hotel,good atmosphere. Onsen cost 1000 Yen per adult extra, 500 Yen /kid. Not included. Breakfast kost 2000 Yen /kid starting at the age of 6 or 7.so we had to pay extra. Fresh waffles for breakfast. Western and Japanese style buffet. Fresh fruit spreads, good quality.
