WE Hotel Toya

We had been at Toya many times, staying at various properties, including the famous Windsor. This time round, we decied to try this modern property instead of Lake Sumida. This is indeed a nice property but probably more suited for young couples rather than for family with young kids. However we still had a great time, as they do factor in children and provided small yukata as well.

It was a very pleasant stay at WE! Everything was perfect! Excellent room, service and food. Staffs can speak good English and very helpful. Location will be a down side for travellers without a car as it’s a bit out of down town (Onsen street) but it could also be an advantage to enjoy the silence. Perhaps they are still very new so we cannot find it from the car GPS but still managed to find it from Google Map. We stayed there for only one night which is too short :( The room is nicely decorated and provide everything you need. The private bath tub on the balcony was amazing, especially when it’s snowing outside. The public onsen (spa) is clean and big! The breakfast is a must try! Highly recommended to family and couple!

The faucet in the room is too low to stretch my palm for thoroughly cleaning. Room is a bit smaller than expected, but the staffs were all nice. The restaurant was in maintenance the night we got in, but the shuttle bus to Lake Toya Hot Spring Street did not have enough seats for my family to get in. We needed to drive 20 minutes through the extremely narrow road with only few lights along to the Main Street... Choice of breakfast is a bit less but the food provided are all pretty good then!
