Colombina Hotel

We enjoyed our stay very much. The gentlemen working at the front desk were friendly, courteous, and knowledgable about visiting Venice. The 6:15PM boat ride around Venus was the highlight of the trip. The boat taxi ride at 6:15AM today to the train station was very convenient and enjoyable. My only complaint is from our arrival at the trainstation this morning. A gentlemen helped take the bags off the water taxi. He helped wheel two of them to the front of the train station. I gave him a 10 Euro tip but he demanded more. I was intimidated to give him 20 more Euros but then he demanded another 30 Euros for the 2nd bag. At that point I refused and he walked away. I originally felt 10 Euros was an excellent tip for wheeling 2 bags about 100 feet. I felt the person was a bully and a con artist, and he took advantage of a traveling family. Please warn your hotel guests about this situation you arrange taxi service for them to the trainstation

I am so glad we booked this hotel. It was close to the main attractions in Venice and the vaporreto. All the staff are friendly and they even allowed us to check in early. The junior suite is beautiful. I felt like we were transported back in time. The breakfast is excellent. We also ate dinner in the hotel on our first night and it was delicious. We will book this place again when we go back.

This hotel was a breathe of fresh air. A family away from home. They added an additional night with only half a day notice due to a change in our travel plans. Breakfast is included and the buffet is lovely. I’m actually sad to leave Venice.

Everything about this stay was wonderful 💜 location, rooms, bar, breakfast, and the staff was exceptional. One of the best hotels my family and I have ever stayed in , we highly recommend it

Although it's a very small hotel, it has a great location on a canal in a quiet area, yet close to Piazza san Marco and the Rialto. Staff is excellent and our junior suite was well-appointed and spacious.

We were a family of four (2 adults, 2 teens) travelling from Canada on a Europe trip. We had 3 days in Venice and booked this hotel based on some reviews we read. We were very impressed with this hotel! The location could not be better as it is in the heart of San Marco square. St. Marks Basilica and Doge's Palace are literally a 2 minute walk and there are lots of cafes and restaurants in the area. Being a family of 4, we had to book 2 rooms and requested that they be on the same floor and on the side that the elevator is in. Andrea at Hotel Colombina more than satisfied our request. Not only were we on the same floor, but Andrea upgraded one of our rooms to a canal view room! I felt the canal view room was the best room in the hotel as it had a beautiful small balcony (with flags) overlooking the canal. My wife and I would have our espressos on this balcony watching the gondola riders below and they would all look up and take our pictures like we were royalty! They probably saw all the flags on our balcony and thought we were important!! I can't thank the staff at this hotel enough for making our stay so enjoyable! Andrea, Roxana, Manuel and Mario assisted us in various ways and we send our love and appreciation their way. This hotel is small, but it has everything you need. The breakfast room is nice and they had good options to get your day going. The servers here were wonderful too. For a much better experience than the big branded hotels, this hotel is your choice!

Great hotel - just fabulous This is a gem of a find just a stone’s throw from San Marco and on the very canal that the Bridge of Sighs spans. The room was perfect; junior suite with a canal view. Staff were super helpful; there when you needed them; in the background when you didn’t - perfect. Lovely breakfast; well appointed rooms and location - did I mentioned that - just brilliant; in the centre of where you need to be but far enough away to be tranquil. We will return and would highly recommend.

Stunning hotel, old world glamour with excellent staff. 4 min stroll from San Marco square. Our check in was seamless; the front desk is manned 24/7. We were given maps, suggestions for sight seeing and restaurants. The porter took our bags up to the room and gave us a tour of the amenities. We were lucky to have a top floor room with a private rooftop terrace overlooking the area. Our room was beautiful, free water and espresso machine. The outlet plugs had USB ports so we could charge our electronics without needing adapters. Incredible experience and I will recommend the Colombina to all my friends and family. I look forward to staying there again myself. Thank you for a wonderful visit.
