Crowne Plaza Padova, an IHG Hotel

Unhelpful and plain damn rude reception staff. On arrival, they said we weren't allowed breakfast as we hadn't booked it but we had. After showing my own booking via expedia they said yes okay. When booking a taxi for 6 via reception, we asked for a 6 seater in which a middle aged lady replied that a 6 seater can't be ordered so we had to order 2 car's. On arrival of the first taxi, it was a 6 seater and the driver was more then willing to take 6. This happened twice and it certainly made me think that the hotel make commission from the bookings. Would never stay here again and especially not with my family. It's too far out from the centre. It's more of a low spec business hotel in the middle of no where near a main motorway junction.

I had originally booked adjoined family rooms but was upgraded to adjoining junior suites upon arrival. Checkin was very fast and helpful with recommending us to make best use of the parking facilities inside the building. And when we arrived the restaurant was approaching closing hours but remained upon so that we could catch dinner. The rooms were modern, comfortable and clean. I can definetely recommend this as a place to stay.

Amazing property and an even more amazing staff. Reimbursed us for cab rides to and from train station when their shuttle couldn’t accommodate our child. Will stay here anytime we visit the area or Venice. A simple 25 min train ride into and out of Venice.

Stayed for 2 nights. Gave us a free upgrade for our family to a Junior Suite. Good location and great service /people.
