QC Terme Grand Hotel Bagni Nuovi

Very bad experience booked a suite 450€ a night to find that it was on the ground floor looking at the park my place with smoking table outside so we could have not open the Window outside, people walking by we had to keep closed the window to avoid people looking inside, they did not offer accompaniment to the suite (which is normal in a 5*) and I understand why....a shame I have complained and they offer me a junior suite (pretending it was a suite) they did not offer any compensation or excuse They offered me to go back to bagni vecchi where I have booked a suite the previous night and luckily it was still available Poor service poor professionalism

The restaurant, bar and bedroom staff were excellent, dining experience fabulous. Reception staff were very poor and also we noticed were not resolving problems for other guests! There were outside building works in the grounds of the spa which started before 8.30 am and so was not relaxing - we feel that we should have been informed about this before our stay. The spa was overcrowded and we didn't visit Bagno Romani or Vecchio as there was a large queue and over 30 people in the small pool even though we had prebooked. Guests are also supposed to have exclusive use of facilities before 11 am - but we found that the outside pool, sauna and other facilities were closed for cleaning until 11 am which was our check out time. We have visited this Bormio spa many times over many years, but have found that it has become increasingly overcrowded and noisy with children and other clientele, which is not conducive to the Spa experience. This is the most beautiful and historical building in a unique location and setting and we do not want to see this decline in standards.
