Hotel Silvio

(Not the hotels fault that I didnt check location better but really not a good place with kids.. Terrible to walk from the apartment to city centre alongside cars at Street with no sidewalks....but this is not the responsibility of the Hotel.) Although, the apartment smelled clorine like it was showered in it..like a quick-fix clearing. Fridge was not cleaned and there was food in it from the past guests... ( the Hotel staff came to fix when we told them though) There should be information about the noise problem. We hade only an indoor-door between us and neighbour and they gave us big troubles to sleep.. It sounded like they were in the same room. And on The other side of Street was a really annoying dog ( and I'm a dog lover!) barking a Lot. The "private beach" of Hotel felt dirty but better beach quite nearby.. But again problem walking with kids... I wouldn't recommend this place to a family with kids but maybe ok for young party people or some thing like that.. Staff was polite and friendly.

This is a family run hotel and restaurant that has been in operation 100 years. The owners and staff take very good care of the customers. The property is very close to the lake. The rooms have balconies overlooking the lake. It's away from the touristy, busy town, but it's an easy walk to town and the ferries. The property is well maintained, but the plumbing is old. We really enjoyed our stay.
