Manager was awful! Did not have air conditioning and manager took no responsibility! He basically blamed us! Had family and friends who had recommended this hotel but will never go back! Was offered no compensation! I will make sure no one I know ever goes there! Rest of staff were great but manager very sketchy! Manager made excuses and would not help us out and I had my 84 year old mother! Shame on him!!!

The open plan shower arrangements are not conducive to a family environment.

The hotel overall was great. Great location for transportation links into the city centre and in a quiet neighbourhood. Although it was next to a police station the noise from the sirens wasn't too bad. I would have given the hotel 5 stars but there were some minor issues. We went with 2 kids under 10 year old and we thought we had access to the indoor pool having confirmed it with the hotel by email before we departed. However, when we got to the hotel we were told under 16s are not allowed as the pool is more of a jacuzzi than a pool and we would only be able to access the outdoor pool. However, the outdoor pool is not heated so unless you like cold swims its not usable outside summer months. The other issue was that the rooms do not have side lamps but have tiny spot lights in the ceiling so at night time its very difficult to see in the sides of the room. There were no chest of drawers in the room so we were living out of suitcases and with kids the rooms did become very messy. Finally, we had the junior suite room with the hot tub, which was great however I don't think it gets a proper deep clean too often so for the first 3-4 times we used it (due to lack of a pool) the jets would tend to spit out bits of dark fluff bits and hairs which is not great at all. On the plus side apart from one lady at the counter all the staff were very nice and helpful.

Rooms not really like the photos. We are a family of 4 and booked the Jnr Suite, sent 3 messages to the Hotel in the weeks leading up to our trip asking for the room to be configured with 2 single beds. Did not get any response nor the room configuration asked for. Disappointing!

Our stay was extremely disappointing. We were kept up all hours of the night despite it supposedly being a “soundproof” room. Our travel bag of chocolates were stolen by the cleaners and when reported we were met with “maybe you are them and forgot” and “if you don’t feel safe and comfortable at this hotel you should leave”. The room clearly hasn’t been decorated or looked after for a very long time, with dents and scratches everywhere and the sofa was all ripped and scruffy. The jets in the “jetted tub” didn’t work so was just a tub. The “swim up bar” is an all round joke, what they really mean is swim, get out, walk into the hotel to the bar, try to find someone working there which is a whole new challenge and then half an hour later you’ll have your drink. Not to mention the salted cashews they serve with the drinks are topped up on top of any uneaten ones from other tables. The reception ladies are extremely rude and unhelpful, met with constant aggressive and argumentative attitudes. They were not helpful in the slightest. When the chocolates were stolen we then requested no further housekeeping but the next day came back to the room to housekeeping in our room. The toilet ran all night unless you jammed the button out so that it would stop and the bathroom smelt like sewage. And this was all in their junior suite rooms!! Definitely do not recommend.
