Phi Hotel Canalgrande

I stayed in Phi Hotel Canalgrande while visiting Modena to promote my funny book about the city, "My Modena: A Year Of Fear, Laughter, and Exhilaration in Italy." Our family had previously stayed in the Canalgrande and enjoyed its old-world charm and elegance, and that was where I wanted to celebrate my book. There were many upgrades to the hotel since our last visit. Breakfast, which has many delicious options like fresh fruit, fluffy eggs, and pastries, is served in a garden that has lemon trees and is surrounded by charming medieval buildings. The waters were friendly and attentive and made us feel welcome and pampered. Our room was elegant, comfortably large and airy, and beautifully decorated. And the Canalgrande is conveniently located blocks streets away from the heart of Modena's center, where the history and charm of Italy is so graciously on display. I can't wait to return to Modena - and to your lovely hotel.
