Welbeck Hotel & Restaurant

The hotel has a homely, family-run feel, with very friendly and helpful staff. The room was a touch cramped for space around the bed but had all the things you need, including plenty of hot drink supplies. There is a small lift (elevator), which was helpful as we were on the top floor with an excellent sea view. The daily cooked breakfast was first rate, and the evening meals, whilst limited in selection, were also top notch. Street parking is possible close to the hotel.

Nice atmosphere. Great for families. All staff very nice and helpful.

We stayed in a family room and had access to a fully useable kitchen, sizeable front room with TV with a fold-out bed, a separate double bedroom with TV and a bathroom, complete with bath/shower. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen gave us extra options with food, especially as restaurants were at a premium in Douglas due to Covid. Breakfast was nice and cooked to order and the staff were excellent throughout, accommodating to requests and also being extremely helpful as regards to transport and local ammenities in and around Douglas. Would definitely stay here again if ever back on the Isle of Man!

This is my second visit to the Welbeck & it won't be out last. The place is clean, cosy & comfortable. The staff are polite & super helpful. It's a family run hotel & it shows right from the warmth of the hello greeting to the last drink on the terrace. It's about a 15 min walk from the ferry terminal, convenient for the town, there is a bus stop across the road & it isn't far from either the steam train or the electric tram. Our room had an en-suite, a fridge & tea & coffee facilities. Room service was available & there is a bar. Breakfast was delicious with a great choice of options. We just 💖 it there.
