My wife and I were impressed when we stayed at the Shangri-La in Cebu and therefore we decided to book another Shangril-La for a brief stay in Jakarta. We were not disappointed with the service being very good, all staff attentive and the hotel being to a high standard. The breakfast was again a stand-out part of the stay with a wide selection. Even though we were not travelling with children, the hotel seems very good at looking after people with kids with lots of things to keep the little ones occupied.

At afternoon tea all cakes was gone and the area was very noisy with a lot of children running around.

Actually the hotel seems to be focused on family offers. Due to this, the feeling of a 5 star Shangri - La Hotel does not come up. The staff try to do the best, but is too busy with handling the guests, so they might not have the time and spirit to live the indonesian politeness and hospitality we are know from other hotels in Jakarta.

My favourite hotel since 1995 since i was a teenager until now, i love everything about this hotel, the suite room, the mango pudding, caramel pudding and kue putu mayang (3 years ago they served delicious putu mayang at lunch), several years ago there was a horse in their garden my child love it, good for family, but unfortunately last time we stayed here we didn't get an extra bed, family hotel should provide more extra bed, thank you

We stayed here to celebrate my son's birthday. Friend's family also stayed together. Complimentary decoration for the birthday at the room was nice. Pool and small water park were satisfactory enough to kids. Room and every place were well organized and clean. We had dinner at Jia restaurant, and the foods were all good. Serving was pretty fast, and staffs' service was also good. I am willing to stay here again. Great hotel!
