FM7 Resort Hotel Jakarta

Positives: Not too far from the airport. Ok restaurant, Challenges: Room (junior) very mediocre and on the ground floor. Smelled very strong like cheap perfume. Reception very slow.

Hotel is conveniently placed only 10min ride from internationam airport in Jakarta, so perfect for layover. It has modern and big rooms and a really nice pool and a steam room and a sauna. Breakfast is also very rich. I stayed there 2x, because first time was really nice. Second time I also booked a 90min massage at the spa center which was dissapointing though. The masseuse was for the most part either petting me or just squezzing my arms and legs to uncomfortabme level...and for the end I was offered a happy ending (which probably isn't expected nor wanted at a family resort). Other than strange experience with massage, hotel is very nice.

Great family room with beautiful gardens conveniently located

terrible stay. This is an airport hotel so only here overnight & arrived about 7.30pm & had to get up at 5 am the next morning. We booked the junior suite. Reception seemed to take forever to check us in and where everyone was wearing masks I couldn’t understand a word. When we walked into the room the temp was 34 degrees, the bellboy was like oh you have to give it 10 mins - it has only just come on. Fair enough. We went for dinner. Came back after 8 pm, over an hour later & the room was still very hot, just got to 28 degrees. Rang reception & each time I was getting increasingly more and more frustrated as they would either hang up on me or say someone is coming. They didn’t seem to understand that by this point it was 9 pm and we wanted to relax before our 18 hour flight the next day. We were only there for a few hours & didn’t need the hassle. Maintenance man came - he couldn’t fix it. At one point the temp went up! I went down in my dressing gown twice as no one on the phone was listening to me & didn’t seem to understand what the issue was despite me ringing them & telling them about 10 times. At one point they said they would move us to the room opposite but have to check the aircon, which still hadnt happened after 20 mins. We were fuming by this point! Nothing was done with any urgency. Eventually about 10.30 we got moved to a room downstairs which again was stifling hot. We were again told to give it 10 mins. But it took 6 hours to get to 21 degrees.

It was a short but nice stay for me and my family.
