The Maya Hotel

3 nights at the Maya Hotel and it felt like I'd never been away, a real home from home in a good way ;-). I last stayed at the Maya Hotel in 2017 and since then family and friends on my recommendation have done the same and not been disappointed. 2 years on the welcome and courtesy shown by all staff from the security, doorman, reception, room service, restaurant etc continues to be of a high standard. Some positive improvements to the front of the hotel and in the restaurant and the rooms continue to clean and comfortable. Free Wifi for multiple devices, well stocked mini bar and the fixtures and fitting in the room are good.Room service and the selection of food is excellent and good value. Buffet or the Al a Carte menu selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner is good. As with all hotels a refresh of certain fixtures and fittings is probably due but there was nothing in my room or elsewhere that did not work or was of a good standard. Rajeev the front office manager who was still in the hotels employ, was as usual excellent from arranging me to be picked up from Amritsar airport to arranging any little excursions I wanted. His "can do" and positive attitude persists with all the other hotel staff. I would have no hesitation in staying at the Maya Hotel when I am in the Punjab again and use it as a base for any other excursions. I would also continue to recommend it to friends and family. Once again well done Maya Hotel!!
