Mývatn - Berjaya Iceland Hotels

June 2024 Absolutely fantastic stay @ Mývatn Berjara Hotel! 1 large bedroom with 2 large sized queen beds (1 was a pull out sleeper sofa but you wouldn’t have known it) and was still able to a twin sized sleep away bed in our room for our 8yo daughter with plenty of room. Room itself and bathroom was immaculately clean. Beds were comfortable and loved the clean, modern vibe of the hotel. Hot tub was great on hotel properly and included thick terry cloth robes you could grab at the front desk. Shower had plenty of hot water and spa toiletries products- shampoo, conditioner, shower gel- all l'occitane products. Room included large flat screen with Amazon, Hulu, Disney +, Netflix, etc. Blackout shades in our room. Would ask for a fan in summertime if you like to sleep with your room cold. Would highly recommend for anyone or a family. 5 Stars stay in Iceland!

The property was snowed in and no one made an effort to clear the entry driveway into the hotel . Also the next morning we were made to pay a tow truck to get our car out of the snow so as to pull into the parking 15 feet away . The staff seemed very uninterested and lacked empathy that we had a young child with us and luggage .

This was a nice place to stay as a family. It is close to the Nyvátn Nature Baths and other area attractions. We stayed in the “family room,” and the bathroom was very nice with separate shower and bathtub. Unfortunately the aurora didn’t appear, but they had a signup sheet to be woken up if it was spotted, which was a nice feature.

This is a very nice hotel. I previously stayed here in 2016 as well. It is within walking distance to the grocery store and restaurants. We stayed in the family room. It is very spacious with a double bed and a sofa bed. The bathroom is also very spacious.

The junior suite is large and has great views. The property is very nice and in close proximity to attractions. There are only two nice hotels in the area so we were just expecting “ok” but it is great!

Modern hotel in a small village. Good restaurant- the icelandic char in the "fine dining" restaurant was excellent. There is another restaurant about 20m away is a family setting. There are two outdoor hot tubs which were great after a day's hike. Located within walking distance to supermarket, wine shop, gas station and a fish and chip store.
