Tuve

Tuve is an absolute gem - renovated boutique hotel in the midst of ‘old Hong Kong’… independent eateries, stores and Causway Bay Market all just steps away. Very close to Tin Hau MTR on the Island Line - we used it everyday. The rooms are a modern industrial decor, with really thoughtful lighting design - it is very much to my taste. They host pop up immersive art exhibition in the hotel and a sound and visual based artist was on show during our stay. Tuve provides their own roasted grounds as the in room complementary coffee, not instant or coffee pods. Huge premium for a city where coffee is still a luxury item (and for a coffee snob like myself). Only criticism was there aren’t enough surfaces in the room to put things, such as a worn shirt not clean enough for the closet. We had two rooms for a week and there was enough space for humans, just not things. We are a party of 3 (parent 2x adult children) returning to HK after a long time abroad. I remember this part of town well as a child and glad to be spending time here.

the front desk was very friendly and super helpful. even tried booking me a taxi. location was great as it was close to my family room had a dehumidifier and a heater. great for the rainy days in HK
