Kalya Suites

One of the better and more affordable areas of Santorini. Located in a peaceful lane. There is only one house between the Kamari beach and Kalya Suites (this hotel). Very good access to the beach. Bus station is 10 minutes' walk. A lot of reasonable beachside cafes and restaurants around. Overall very nice place. We had a family suite (2 adults and 2 kids). The 4-person suites are on the upper floor without lift/elevator. That was a problem for us because we had a lot of luggage. Secondly, the kids' beds were on the upper mezzanine floor in the suite, whose ceiling height is at most 4.5 feet. At the entrance to the upper mezzanine floor, the ceiling height is less than 3 feet. So getting in/out of those beds was a challenge even for kids. Pool is small. No jacuzzi. Breakfast has good variety. We are vegetarian but we could eat. Tomato/Cucumber, cheese slices, few varieties of bread, Cereal, milk, coffee, cookies, cake slices - was more than enough. There was also a grilled sandwich maker, which helped making nice sandwiches. One small problem - when we asked to warm to milk for kids, they refused to do so. Also, they did not have ketchup (which was strange). Overall, good value for money.
