Ammos Resort

The staff were really helpful and worked very hard, but the restaurant could have done with more individuals to clear tables as we often had to wait for a table and then rush our food to comply with the opening hours. I wasn't impressed with the sun loungers poolside, as they are hard plastic rattan without any cushioning. Not ideal for poolside lounging at its best, and of the three hotels we stayed in on the island, this was the only one with four stars and it had the worst loungers and the most repetitive food choices. I was astonished to be offered fish fingers and baked beans as an evening meal fish option. There was one other fish dish, a repeat from two nights earlier, so as there were not many children in the resort, I just think the chef was running out of ideas. Many Russian and German visitors to this hotel. The beach is quite small and it is a two mile walk into Mastichari centre and the hotel site itself is on a steep slope down the the beach so limited if you have any disablities as many steps to conquer and a bit of a climb. Overall it was just a bit vanilla. 4 nights was more than enough.
