Elounda Krini Hotel

We had a nice one night stay as we were in Elounda to try out some restaurants and a boat trip. The Krini was an ok option, very reasonably priced and they provided us with a family area which was 2 rooms which shared a private corridor which was great. We never used the facilities or ate at the hotel so I can’t comment on those but they looked ok.

We arrived late and the staff were friendly and helpful and we found a bowl of fruit and a bottle of wine in our room. In the morning we found the beautiful outdoor pool area. Breakfast or swim? And in which order? It was slightly out of the centre of town which we liked because it is quieter. We also had a hire car and there was parking within the hotel which made life simpler. We loved it. Our kids loved it. We'd like to have stayed longer.

A small, friendly family hotel. Christina the receptionist was warm and welcoming. Our room and bed were very comfortable. A lovely touch was the bottle of wine and water in the fridge plus a plate of fruit. The staff were calm and efficient, the food was abundant, home-cooked and tasty. On checkout we were presented with yet another gift, a bottle of olive oil, packet of Cretan herbs and a bar of lemon soap. Very generous and quite unexpected. All in all, a most surprising gem of a hotel with excellent hospitality.

Great hotel where NOTHING was too much trouble. At first I thought the location was too far out of town and reviewed it as such. This view was unfair as I had only been at the hotel one day and was asked for first impressions. In actual fact the location is ideal, far enough away from the hub bub but a short stroll along the water edge to get to all the waterside restaurants..at most a 10min walk and my husband is a VERY slow and reluctant walker! Lovely family run taverna just beside the hotel, great family restaurant just a moment away on the road opposite and also a bakery that makes sandwiches to take away or eat in. Elounda itself is the best location in Crete. We had a wonderful week there. Thank you Krini.

My family ( 2 adults, 1 teenager (18) and 1 child (12) have just returned from a fortnight's holiday at this hotel. Small hotel with excellent service from staff. Rooms really clean and towels changed daily. Fridge and tea and coffee making facilities in room along with glasses. However no cooking facilities, crockery or cutlery as not self catering apartments. Just to be aware of that. Hotel about 15 min walk from centre of Elounda so we were glad that we upgraded to breakfast option. Pool quite small and perhaps not really anything to occupy a 12 year old as no pool table or other activities but we knew that when we booked.Breakfast great. Loads of choice. Snacks and drinks available all day. Kristina at reception really friendly and helpful as were all other staff. We would definitely return.
