Novus City Hotel

the staff were amazing, especially Alma and Martha who were so kind to my 18-month-old grandchild. A bit of a slip up regarding twin beds requested, but the queen bed was super comfortable and the room was lovely, and very spacious and clean. It was very hot when we were there so the rooftop pool was super. The array of choices for the buffet breakfast was amazing. We were very pleased with our find of this hotel.

Nice hotel with nice rooms and airconditioning. Good service at the roof at and pool area. The food served had large portions. Pool area was smaller than expected. Breakfast was ok also. The negative thing was the outside area. Very bad neighborhood. Would not bring kids.

The staff was excellent throughout. The bellhops always greeted me with a smile and excelled above anyone else. The area is near a homeless encampment in which you are sorta force to walk by if you want to reach a-lot of places in central Athens. I wouldn't say it was dangerous, as I am from New York so that isn't anything I'm not use to but it is a bit unnerving. The pool area is very tiny, its shared with the restaurant. The service was pretty solid but when i was sunbathing and some kids were swimming, its common to get splashed because of how tiny the area is. Breakfast was a huge plus, its free and its quite diverse in its offering. Across the street from the hotel is a great cafe.

The Novus Hotel exceeded the 5 star rating. The rooms were comfortable and very clean with efficient service. The views from the rooms and the top floor are incredible. You can see the entire city of Athens, including the Acropolis from the hotel and easily walk or take public transportation to any site. The staff in particular blew us away with their kindness. Each time we needed something, they not only went out of their way to help us, but they also did so with such warmth and high spirits that they made us feel like family. Best hotel I have ever been to.

Mixed reviews. Check in staff was wonderful except when it was time for departure the van I ordered with front desk days in advance never showed up. Don’t know if they forgot or was van error (I am sure they will say van error to sound better). I also made bad decision to listen to them on timing of when we needed to leave for airport. We literally boarded 10 minutes before takeoff. When they say 1.5 hours, do not listen! Rooms were spacious and clean. Excellent bathrooms. Had trouble adjusting temps they keep not very cold. And lastly location is bad! Next block up is literally alleyways of heroin/meth junkies by the dozens. Not for solo women or families with young kids. But the price was very reasonable. Very good for those looking for place to stay after long day out. Lovely view of accropolis on rooftop.
