Amalia Hotel Athens

We had a lovely family stay with teenagers. It’s a great location, we walked to everything. Rooms are clean and comfortable and well serviced. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The included breakfast and excellent - great variety with so much cake j recommend taking s Tupperware box!

Close to everything, dinner options are almost endless, right across from parliament buildings, but don’t buy the water from the hotel, cheeper to go right outside to the street kiosks, 500ml bottles limited to only €.50 and in the hotel, they want €2.00. If you have the option of the American style breakfast, take it, absolutely fantastic! Price is a little high during peak season, but that would be the same anywhere. For the location, compared to other hotels in the area, it’s a bargain! If you have a large family, they can accommodate you by sending a mini bus to pick you up from the airport and back when you require it, just make sure you ask the hotel directly. Front desk staff were extremely helpful in any questions you may have. Conversing in English was definitely not an issue. Overall I would highly recommend.

Our stay at Amalia was very pleasant. Upon arrival we were informed that we had received a free room upgrade and had assistance getting our luggage to the room. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to our family including our young daughter. The room was clean with ample amenities. The location is close to Syntagma Square, which makes transit very easy. There are also many options within walking distance for eating out. The Acropolis and other must-see Athens sights are easy to reach as well, either on foot or by metro.
