NH Collection Köln Mediapark

On our family’s drive home to Denmark from France, my husband and I had a stop over for one night here with our two small children ages 3 and 6. Overall, it was really affordably priced, well located, easy to reach and instructions on parking and check in were very clear and precise. There was even a free welcome drink with small sweets by reception. We reserved a family adjoining room and absolutely loved it. The kids were surprised with complementary coloring paper and pencils and welcome gifts in their room. It made their day after a long drive! Breakfast was also fantastic. Really delicious, lots of options including a menu to order from with no additional cost, very accommodating and flexible. I’ll also just note the staff was incredibly friendly and English speaking wasn’t a problem at all! We would happily stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was of a very high standard and the excellent customer service was really appreciated after our long train journey from England. Lars Henning on reception gave our family a very warm welcome. The small touches like the free sweets, fruit and water were very nice and the extensive breakfast was greatly enjoyed by us all. We will be back!

A family of five (with three young kids), we received connecting rooms, and the kids room was filled with great little gifts, such as a drink, chocolate, little soaps and colouring material. These little details really make a difference after a long day of travelling! Thank you NH!

We stayed for an extended weekend as a family of four to see the Christmas markets in Cologne. The rooms were satisfactory and the hotel reception and reception staff were all very friendly and professional. However, the cleaning service was definitely lacking. The floors were always a little grimy with water spots and dust in corners as if they hadn't been cleaned thoroughly, and the cleaners were quite insistent on ignoring the do not disturb signs on more than one occasion. Our teas and coffee pods were not consistently topped up. The thing that upset us the most was the fact that the cleaning staff didn't seem to take note of the eco-towel rules. We hung our towels up on the rail to indicate we wanted to reuse them each day, but when we arrived back in our rooms, we found they had been replaced with completely new towels. This happened every day. We dread to think how much bigger the washing and electricity consumption is as a result of the cleaning staff replacing all the towels in all the rooms on our floor, if not the hotel. Please address this with your staff!
