Hotel Ampervilla

We had a wonderful time at the hotel. The staff were very polite and accommodating. The breakfast was outstanding, so much food to choose from, something for everyone. The evening meals we delicious and well prepared. The hotel is located in a small town (Fahrenzhausen) about 30 minutes from Munich. The town itself is in the country and is very quiet here. One needs to rent a car to get around. The closes train station is 10 minutes away. There is no local taxi company in this town, therefore the cost of a taxi is expensive. apprx. 20 Euros per ride to the train station. Otherwise, we had a great time in Munich. We did 5 tours (enjoyed them all) and took in the Oktoberfest Parade (2 hrs) and the Oktoberfest celebration.. We would come back to Munich again. This hotel would be ideal for anyone travelling by car or van.. It would be great for a family that is doing there own touring. It is close to the major highways that lead to Switzerland or Austria and of course Munich and the rest of Germany.
