We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The hostess was kind and friendly. The food was nice. The bedroom was comfortable and clean. The view from the balcony was amazing. It is a great location near the castles. There is room outside for children to run around and play. I will be recommending it to all of my friends and I hope we can return one day.

Our family loved our stay at Hotel Waldmann. The hotel setup was perfect for our family of 4, with a room with 2 twin beds for the kids and another room with 1 queen bed for us. The staff were extremely friendly, and we saw the same wonderful people everyday. The breakfast was delicious and we found the lunch packets great and convenient.

My friend and I stayed at this gem of a hotel for 2 nights. Of course it is so convenient to the castles- but the hotel was incredible. Family owned and run since 1933. Had e-bikes and regular which were great as we biked all over the valley. We ate at the restaurant our first night. They were serving 5:30-7:30. The food was SO delicious we decided to eat again our second night! The owner is the cook and she was amazing. The family was so friendly and helpful - I just can’t say enough for the praise. Beds were super comfy and the bathroom was great.See you again Hotel Waldmann!

This hotel helped enhance my wife's and my vacation. Location is great and close to the castle. Bed was very comfortable and just the entire feel of the hotel made me feel as comfortable as home. Food was amazing and very reasonably priced. I had Kasseler Rippchen with Sauerkraut and was amazing. I believe this is a family owned place, which makes it so amazing. Had I known how great this place was I would have stayed here more time. Just keep in mind if arriving late that since it is family owned it will not have someone at the front desk to greet you to check in, so call in advance and they will leave the key for you. Absolutely great place to stay.

Such a great place to stay when visiting Neuschwanstein and/or Hohenschwangau castles. The castles are a short drive (could be walkable, but worth saving time to drive). The hotel is run by a sweet family - you can tell that they care so much for the hotel and their guests. The room was very clean and comfortable. We had a view of Neuschwanstein from our terrace/room/bed - so beautiful. Definitely eat at the restaurant - dinner was delicious, as was the complimentary breakfast. Would definitely stay here again if we ever make it back.

Fantastic little hotel in Fussen. The family that own and run the hotel are just lovely. Breakfast was lovely with delicious eggs cooked to order and we really appreciated the laundry service they offerered (ten euros). They also have a decent restaurant, playground for children and a soccer pitch. We had a lovely view of the mountains and the two main castles from our balcony. The cleaning staff were diligent as well.

Very nice family run place just right down the road from the castles. Had two rooms (traveling with 2 teenagers) with connecting balcony on top floor with excellent view of the castles and mountains. Nice, clean rooms and very friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again!

A very comfortable and small inn with a very nice authentic restaurant. Staff was family like and warm. Very convenient location for touring Neuschwanstein Castle. Located in a small romantic village which is great for evening walks. Do dine in the restaurant, I highly recommend the trout.

First, we arrived early and were warmly greeted by the owner. She had an open room with a balcony and castle view so we were upgraded for a nominal fee. This was a wise decision as we now had two wonderful views of Neuschwanstein Castle and the smaller one to the right. Both were lit at night which made sitting on the balcony a memorable experience. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed on Wednesday. Instead, we dined in the town of Horn and had the best meal ever for a great price. The breakfast the next morning was very nice and served with a smile by the son of the owner. Clearly a family feel to the entire visit. I strongly recommend Hotel Waldmann to everyone. You will not be disappointed at all!
