Our overnight stay was a very positive experience. We were greeted by the family owners of the Gasthof and immediately settled in at the nice and spacious room. 49 rooms available. The dinner comprises of a variety of local dishes - large portions. It was terrific. Beds are comfortable and the room and bathroom were newly renovated. The breakfast is traditional german with plenty of cheese and salami, bread and eggs served in a comfortable Gaststube. Do not cheat yourself from trying or buying the by the house produced products: likors, wine, sausages, honey. Tesla chargers are literally located in the Gasthof backyard. Amazing place in the Rhön Wald 2km from the A7 Autobahn.

Very nice and clean. Seems like it has been renovated just a while ago - new furniture bathroom - everything. Lot of stairs to reach our room. No fridge in the room. Also only one very small trash bin in the toilet, which is not enough traveling with a family. The double bed was ok, but the single beds were bit too soft at least for my back. Good food at the dinner and breakfast.

The room was placed as far from everything as possible. At their pictures they have shown a family room with 4 beds with a balcony, which was the room we have ordered, but the room we got was nothing in common to the one at the picture. We also didn’t get the private balcony with our room as we ordered and as it was mentioned in the confirmation mail we received afterwards. The beds was comfortable afterall, but it was the only good thing, as their breakfast buffet wasn’t fulfilled and good as mentioned.
