Staff were very friendly and happy to help. The swimming pool/ wellness area was fantastic to relax in and for the whole family to swim. The room we had was great for a family of four - lots of space and great views of the mountains. A 15-20 minute walk into the old town. Supermarket close by for all your needs.

Excellent and super helpful staff; clean and comfortable rooms (the pullout couch that our kids slept on squeaked whenever they moved around, but not a big deal); and excellent breakfast.

We had the best time at this hotel! It was our favorite stay in Germany out of the 4 places we stayed. Rita at the front desk was so welcoming and nice. The hotel was right next to the bus station to take us all over town. The breakfast was top notch. The beds were comfortable and plenty of room for our family of 4. We had the best time!

Excellent hotel great meals and nice wellness area. If I have one minor here they didn't give me the tourist card which you pay for in the levy each night you stay. It gives discounts and free tourist bus so saves parking. It's a small thing but now you know to ask. Overall though very happy with my choice. Pool is small, pics can be deceiving but adequate for kids to cool off and play.

A family hotel, run by people who combine professional competence with friendly care for their guests. It's notable that they have an active apprenticeship scheme to pass on their skills to a new generation. Having chosen to walk the 2 kms from the station in a light drizzle we arrived weary and damp some hours before the usual check-in time to be greeted by manager Andreas Griess who, while covering all the formalities with a light touch, made us feel welcomed as house-guests. Andreas, his parents and (when not nursing the latest family addition) his wife watch over this excellent establishment without intruding on guests' privacy. A splendid breakfast (the fresh orange juice is a joy) is included and the four-course table d'hote dinner is discounted to guests at unbelievable value. We normally avoid hotel dining, but with this quality we ate in for all five nights and were well served by attentative staff. Strong, free Wi-Fi, well appointed bathroom and a whole suite of fitness facilities. Outdoor pool for the summer, Heated boot-room for the ski season. Good free car parking. The location is a little dull, away from the town centre but with a frequent bus-service for which guests get free tickets throughout their stay. The ambience is quiet, with most guests - like us - beginning to look back on middle age. Not for ravers, but then they wouldn't come to Garmisch - Partenkirchen in the first place.
