Hotel West End

Rooms were very clean and well kept. Location was great. Excellent sea view from junior suite. The staff were so kind and professional.

We booked 2 rooms for 2 adults and 2 kids and the rooms were not combining and also the toilet was a different room than the shower. It was overpriced. Also, we found a worm on the food that my husbsnd ordered which they refunded, however my young daughter messed with her burger that came with my husbands food and the property manager refused to refund the money for the burger.

Firstly stairs are not suitable for disable people and laguages there is one button for disable people but people come there with laguages and we have baby so we carry stroller all time. Stuff was not friendly. They didnt give us room until 15.00 and when they gave it, there wasnt any crib for baby. We wait for it app. 2 hours place cool wiev unbel. breakfast perfect but nothing more

We had a triple “family room”. A queen bed in a very small room. The child’s room was off to one side. The hotel has a crazy policy of fixing the A/C to 22 degrees C. The main room had A/C but the child’s room did not. It was like an OVEN in the child’s room and we woke up sweating in the main room. The bathroom was v small and there was black mold in the shower. For €500 p night this was not acceptable. The hotel had a great location on Promenade des Anglais directly across from the beach and next door to the Negresco Hotel. Also located a short walk to the Old Town. Breakfast buffet was nice but nothing special. Would not stay again.

I was really excited to book this room online but the reality was very different from that advertised. The hotel is directly above the Promenade des Anglaise and extremely noisy with very loud traffic all day and night. So beware of the "Sea View" rooms. Not worth the extra money. The first night the A/C was not working in the room, on a very hot, humid evening. And I was bitten head to toe by something in the bed. The next morning I asked to be moved from that room and was upgraded to a junior suite that smelled like an ashtray. Overall - a very upsetting and disappointing experience. Do not recommend.

This hotel was a great choice for us. It is right on the historic Promenade deals Anglais. I paid to get the sea view and was so happy I did-- we loved the balcony. You can just hop across the street to the beach and there are so many restaurants nearby. There is a famous city landmark next door and it was fun identifying our hotel in all the post cards. I got a junior suite for three people and it was quite nice because the beds weren't all together in one common area-- it gave flexibility with people wanting to come and go to bed at different times. The toilet was also separate from the rest of the bathroom, which helped getting ready. The building is historic, not modern, but was very clean and our shower had good water pressure. It felt very old world French glam. Very attentive doormen and breakfast was solid and on a lovely terrace. Only downsides would be weak internet and lack of gym. The photos made it look like the hotel had some type of rooftop but I didn't see one. No room service but it's in an area packed with restaurants. Good pick up spot for tours because everyone knows the location. Cleaning staff changed our sheets every day-- we made sure to tip. Fancy old world decor in lobby. Refrigerator in room.
