Albert 1'er Hotel Nice, France

The superior room with balcony we booked was clean and comfortable and newly decorated. The balcony was very small - it did have table and chairs but too small to actually use. The lift is very small and takes a long time waiting to use as only one for hotel. I would not recommend booking if staying with children. The cot provided was not set up properly and unsafe to use. We asked reception to help rectify this and were told there was no one available until tomorrow, despite asking at 6pm, leaving us nowhere for our baby to sleep. We had booked a double room but the bed configuration was twin beds. We asked for this to be changed to a double so the baby could sleep in the bed instead, again nothing could be done until tomorrow. We then asked for a refund so we could find another hotel to stay at instead - again informed manager was not on site or contactable so they could not confirm this either until tomorrow. Terrible service and I would not recommend staying in case of any problems. The high chair provided was also broken with no straps so could not be used.

Great service and location. Breakfast options were great. Right next to the beach and all restaurants. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Would recommend to all family and friends.

The location and the welcoming staff. We were travelling to celebrate a special occasion and the staff made it special. Unfortunately due to family emergency we needed to cut our trip short. After explaining to the young man at the desk and inquiring about any reimbursement he noted that the manager was very busy and could not give me an answer but would get back to me. Upon checkout the next day still no answer and as of today have not heard a works. As a frequent traveler and staying at various properties things can come up to interrupt a stay. I have always been treated with respect and some consideration. Unfortunately this has not been the case with the Albert 1 er.

We have stayed here before and this time brought our family along. Rooms and hotel has been renovated so we were pleasantly surprised. Renovations ongoing but we were not inconvenienced. We love the location of the hotel and that's why we have come back. We were not dissappointed.

Overnight stay for a family of 5 adults, Two rooms, both capable of sleeping 3, with nice bathrooms and ammenities. We arrived 3 hours early and the hotel was able to secure our luggage till check in so we could explore numerous nearby shops and restaurants.

The hotel was okay, the interior of the bathroom was a bit old though and the free water wasn’t restocked the following day. We asked for the possibility of a late check out due to a late evening flight and travelling with a baby. The front desk didn’t seem interested in accommodating our wish. We had 3 rooms and asked for just one of them. We were told to ask again in the morning. In the morning we got the message it wasn’t possible. Maybe they truly were fully booked in all rooms. However they were very kind to offer to store our luggage and the possibility to have a shower in the afternoon. The location is perfect!! There was a very loud concert at Pl. Massena both nights, but that’s not the hotel’s fault, that’s what happens when you want to live in the heart of the city. Overall we had a good stay and Nice is absolutely wonderful.
