We wanted a family room for 5 of us, which are often difficult to fund. The room was perfect and solved for our needs really well, along with being well appointed and clean. A nice breakfast and friendly staff, for a reasonable price. Very pleased.

We used the Brit hotel as a base for our trip to Normandy. It’s in a good location for visiting all the historical sites. We stayed in the family room and there was plenty of room for us all (2 adults and 2 teenage boys). A kettle and a few coffee sachets were provided but no cups and milk. However, there was a small supermarket 2 mins away so we purchased cups/milk from there. We didn’t eat at the hotel. So I can not comment on the food. Breakfast was €14 each so again we purchased croissants, Orange juice and fruit etc from the supermarket for a few euros. The hotel is a little dated but the room was clean, and plenty of towels were provided each day. I would recommend this hotel to others as it’s in a great location.

The hotel in general and our room in particular were clean enough and adequately comfortable enough for our one night family stay. Comfort/Quality were appropriate for price paid. One improvement would be the ability to obtain clean drinking water at no cost.

The staff were very helpful and the hotel has family sized room that was perfect for us. And it’s located on the outskirts of Caen a stones throw from the Normandy museum and a short drive downtown. Would stay there again.

No Air Conditioning and a sweltering humid room. The hotel management have decided to lie in their advertising and treat paying customers like toddlers. They have switched off all the air conditioning and restricted access so customers cannot control the temperature in their rooms. During my stay, the ac did not come on once. The control unit is locked so I could not adjust it. The room was sweltering hot, I could not sleep. The hotel looks lovely, staff are nice, cleanliness is good but what use is any of this if the room is a sauna and it’s impossible to sleep. The management should be sued for false advertising. A locked control unit and ac that never came on does not constitute air conditioning. Be honest and advertise your hotel as lacking air conditioning. Will never stay here again.

We got the ferry that landed at 9.30 in the evening. The hotel is about 30 mins from the port so ideal for staying over after the crossing. The hotel is basic but clean. Breakfast a continental buffet and good. We stayed in a family room for 5, good price.

We were a family party of 14, including 6 children under 7. We arrived at about 7pm, after a long journey from the Bordeaux area. We we’re looking forward to relaxing in the restaurant with a drink and meal only to be told they don’t serve food on the weekend. There was nothing nearby to accommodate us either. Very dissatisfied and disappointed and all went to bed hungry.
