Normandy Le Chantier

Fantastic location! Just steps from the Louvre! Our Junior Suite was beautifully updated and had plenty of space for two adults and two kids, ages 13 and 10. The bathroom was very large, with a huge shower with two shower heads. The staff was extremely attentive and kind. They let us leave our luggage there before and after our stay. Will absolutely return to this gem of a hotel!

This hotel is undergoing renovations and although we read reviews that stated that, we booked anyway because the new rooms looked really nice and could accommodate our large family group and the location was great. However, the rest of the hotel was awful and you had to walk through it to get to your room. Dark, smelly hallways with dim lighting and stairs. Also I took a pretty nasty fall in the lobby on an unmarked step going up. They called paramedics due to my bleeding head and bruised leg, but I refused to go to hospital. They gave me an ice bag and never checked on me again or asked any of my family if I was ok.. I also emailed them prior to our arrival to confirm they had guest self laundry on premises since web site said they did. Well, it was a few blocks away, directions in French and locals were not very friendly about helping.
