Hôtel Marais de Launay (ex Bastille)

Great location. Breakfast was ample. Rooms were small and we booked a family room but it was 2 rooms next to each other not connected.

Hospitable staff at front desk and helpful housekeepers. Good breakfast buffet reasonably priced (for Paris). For our eight-day stay they kindly put us in a newly upgrade, renovated room, spacious with good beds. Being on fifth floor it got hot at night, even though we turned off the radiators. Just a matter of heat rising, we supposed. Daily room freshening very good; however, some mornings before 8 am the housekeeper was banging around cabinets outside our door. Also, a family occupying three of the five rooms on our floor treated corridor as if they had rented the entire floor. Yelling and talking in hall with all their doors open late in evening and early in morning. Forget about sleeping in! After two days of that we asked front desk for help, and they did succeed in getting them to modify their behavior. Overall, a very good stay in a good location near Bastille.

Wow my family loved this cute hotel. It’s right in the Marais area which has great shopping and dining options within walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were cute and clean. We had breakfast in the morning a few times which was buffet style and nice. I would love to stay here again next time I find myself in Paris.

This is the most amazing hotel. The rooms were small but certainly big enough. The location is great --near the metro, bus lines and lots of wonderful restaurants. But the most amazing thing about this hotel is the staff. To a person, the front desk people were incredible. Friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating every request from me and my family. Please consider staying here.
