Hôtel Magenta 38 by Happyculture

The hotel was disappointing. We booked a classic room for two and indicated that we would be traveling with a 6-month-old child. When we arrived at the hotel, they gave us a very small room that we could barely fit through the passage, there was absolutely no room for a stroller. We went to the reception, after which they changed our room for a larger one, but said that we would have to pay extra for it and that we would only be able to stay there for 2 days. I explained to them that this was not our problem and that when booking we indicated 2 people and a child. In the end, we were able to resolve this, but the experience was already spoiled. We still had to pay extra for the room. I think this is the hotel's fault, not ours. For this reason, I would not recommend this hotel and one more thing: in the photos, the hotel looks much better than in reality.

Overall we liked the hotel and the affordability - the check in was efficient and the staff was pleasant. We had a room that was a great size for our family of 4 and had 2 twin beds which was perfect for our teenage girls. The main downside was that the air conditioning only can go down a certain number or degrees below the outside temp - although we appreciate the eco friendliness we visited during a very hot time and it would have been nice to have cooler sleeping conditions. The beds were comfortable and the location offered easy access to all sites via bus or metro.

For a last-minute booking, Hotel Magenta 38 really wasn't expected. When I say last minute, I actually mean 30 mins after arriving at our horrible prior booking and we searched for this hotel on Expedia. The receptionist was super nice when we checked in, he even gave us an upgrade to a bigger room which is not facing the main road as well so it was super quiet at night. The area was superb, 2 stops to the international train station/train to airport and a nice 5 mins stroll to the underground which is on the same line with Champs-Élysées. This hotel is also near really good restaurants such as Bullion Republique and Bullion Julien. Best part of the stay was that we hardly spent on water because they have a water dispenser with sparkling water and still water option. If you do stay here, try out their hotel breakfast provided at €14 or book it online for €10. The breakfast selection was amazing and the nice lady working at the breakfast place was the sweetest. Definitely staying here again when we do come back to Paris and recommending this hotel to friends and family!

My family and I were very unhappy and uncomfortable in the area this hotel is located. Not only was the area dissapointing, but the room looked NOTHING like the pictures. This hotel is in desperate need of some rennovations.We definitely could have gotten a much better hotel for the same amount of money we spent on this hotel. I will never stay at this hotel again!
